My passion for scientific exploration has been reinforced through internships and projects, including a notable research internship at the Central University of Punjab, Bhatinda. There, I had the opportunity to work on the synthesis of discrete copper hydride nanoclusters using dithiocarbamates via wet chemical reduction. This experience allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of advanced laboratory techniques, including Schlenk line operations, inert-atmosphere reactions, and solvent extraction methods, while also familiarizing myself with analytical tools like NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
My academic and research pursuits have instilled in me a keen interest in solving complex problems and exploring innovative solutions. I am particularly drawn to the intersection of experimental chemistry and its real-world applications. During this project, I’ve built experience in performing reactions under an inert environment using Schlenk line techniques, distillation of organic solvents in an inert atmosphere, and solvent extraction methods to separate various copper hydrides. Also explored associated NMR data with basic knowledge of spectroscopic techniques.
